SCP Pilot Projects: Follow-up and Next steps

The session gathered the representatives of the selected pilot projects in Tunisia and Morocco as well as policy makers from other SwitchMed beneficiary countries interested in hearing about the ongoing activities to be inspired for their own pilot projects.

After a general introduction of the SCP NAPs pilots sub-components and its objectives as well as a presentation of the selection process of the projects by Magali Outters of SCP/RAC, the representatives of Biodome du Maroc, Dar Zaghouan, Tunisia Ecotourism and Sabra Olive Oil presented their projects. Each presentation was followed by a great number of questions showing the interest to replicate those initiatives in other countries.

The session was really useful for the representatives of the pilot projects, they got to know each other but they also identified possible synergies among the different projects. For example, the representative of Dar Zaghouan eco-lodge (Tunisia) will explore with the representative of Biodome du Maroc the possibility of building a biogas plant in its own facility.
