The National Programme Coordinator will provide overall coordination for the MED TEST III activities of SwitchMed II, implemented by UNIDO in Palestine. His/her task will include planning, monitoring and external relations with national stakeholders, and ensuring quality control of the support services and activities as well as an efficient coordination of the resources and assets of the project. He/she will work in close coordination with UNIDO’s project manager and the Chief Technical Advisor

Minimum Requirements

Education

Master's degree or equivalent in Environmental protection, Engineering or Economics; an MBA will be a plus.

Languages

English - UN Proficiency # Arabic - Fluent

Computer Skills

Proficiency in Office tools package (word, excel, power point, etc.) and internet/email.

Field of Expertise

A minimum of 7 years’ experience in the field of technical support services to SMEs in Palestine, including capacity building, market access and business development, industrial process optimization, production system modernization. Working experience in international development/donor projects and technical cooperation targeting SMEs is required. Familiarity with modalities, policies and processes practiced by international agencies, financing institutions, NGOs, government agencies, and international private sector organizations would be an asset.

Duty Station: Ramallah, Palestine

Approximate duration: 12 months (with the possibility of extension for project duration in country, approximately 2 years)
