The Switchers Support Programme: Regional and National Scaling Up Roadmaps
The Networking & Partnerships and Green Entrepreneurship teams at the SCP/RAC worked very closely in the development of this strategy, both at the regional and national levels. The process lasting more than two years included trends and benchmark studies, strengths and weaknesses analysis of the business support services and country consultations using a theoretical framework based on systems thinking that facilitated systematic derivation of leverage points for scaling up.

Guidelines for the TEST methodology
The Transfer of Environmentally Sound Technology (TEST) is the UNIDO methodology of bringing two seemingly conflicting goals together - financial gain and environmental improvement. TEST is a skill development programme and an integrated approach aimed at improving competitiveness and environmental performance of the industrial sector. The guidelines provide descriptions of the overall logic of the methodology and then of each step, giving links to tools to support implementation. The guidelines are part of the TEST training toolkit that incorporates other supporting materials (worksheets, exercises, presentations, case studies, etc.).

The heroes of the Mediterranean disembark against single-use plastics
SCP/RAC and Zero Zbel (Zero Waste) have come together to promote solutions against single-use plastics among the Mediterranean inhabitants through the SwitchMed programme. The heroes of the Mediterranean disembark against single-use plastics is a catalog of 15 superheroes who are promoting alternatives to disposable plastic. Indeed, we find this type of plastic everywhere: as grocery carriers, as food and beverage packaging and containers, etc. These plastics are cheap and often given away for free but it is nature and society who end up paying for this disproportionate and irrational misuse.

Israel: Roadmap for Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production (RECP)
Learnings from the MED TEST II project in Israel have demonstrated that there is an untapped potential for applying resources efficiency sector-wide in the Israeli industry. Based on consultations between UNIDO, Ministry of Economy (MoE), Ministry of Environmental Protection (MoEP), Ministry of Energy (MoEnergy), Ministry of Finance (MoF), NGOs, Manufacturers’ association, the Weitz Center, Industries, Green Target, and Sher Consulting and Training, this paper was established as a roadmap in 2017 leading the path for Israels way towards a resource efficient and cleaner production.

This publication is conceived as a practical tool for entrepreneurs and CSOs to identify the best solution for their context and be guided toward its successful implementation. Doing so, The Regional Activity Centre for Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP/RAC), with the support of the SwitchMed Programme, calls the entrepreneurs, businesses, CSOs to take action and to adopt the solutions and alternatives showcased in the publication, and to prevent the use of toxic chemicals (POPs, PBTs, EDCs, vPvBs, CMRs) in products, which can be replicated in the Mediterranean Region by companies and avoided by authorities and consumers.

It summarizes the opinions of some forty stakeholders interviewed individually (public institutions, financial institutions, support structures, project sponsors) as well as the results of the Synergies workshop held in December, 12th 2018 in Algiers, which brought together some 150 Actors from nearly 60 different organizations. Palestine: The White Paper
This White Paper reflects the views and experiences of green entrepreneurs, civil society actors, policy makers, support providing organizations, and financiers on the challenges, opportunities, and strategies for the promotion of green entrepreneurship and eco-innovative grassroots initiatives in Palestine. The content is based on individual interviews conducted with 32 key stakeholders representing five relevant categories of actors (green entrepreneurs, eco-innovative grassroots organizations, public institutions, support providers, and financial institutions) between April and May 2018, and the outcomes of a national Synergy Workshop held in Ramallah on 27 June 2018 that brought together 86 individuals from over 77 initiatives and organizations.

Lebanon: the white paper

Israel: The Sustainable Consumption and Production Roadmap (2015-2020)

Priorities: 10year framework action plan for the agrifood sector; 10year framework action plan for the tourism sector; coordination mechanism for SCP-NAP implementation; Process: Based on the State of the Art on SCP report, two ten-year plans were developed for the tourism and agri-food sector. The action plans have been drawn up following and in-depth consultation with all stakeholders in Tunisia.
