by switchmed last modified May 03, 2017 12:16 PM
Adopting common methodologies to measure the environmental footprint of products is part of the EU’s efforts to move toward a green single market. But this development will also have a significant impact for businesses exporting to the European single market. UNIDO will offer guidance to stakeholders from the Lebanese industry in how to adapt and demonstrate a product’s environmental performance, preparing the industry of Lebanon for the future.

Invitation to take part in trainings on Product Environmental Footprint (PEF) methodology

As part of the EU funded SwitchMed Program on Sustainable Consumption and Production, UNIDO is organizing capacity building activities on Product Environmental Footprint (PEF) methodology to improve the abilities of Lebanese companies to compete in the EU markets where consumers are taking environmental considerations more and more seriously.

    • As PEF methodology is based on the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), two LCA related trainings are offered:Generic training on LCA and PEF: The training is open to researchers, consultants and experts in the Government, industry or civil society working in the environmental field or in a related field of relevance to LCA.
